Italian engineers invent floating solar photovoltaic modules

Italian engineers built a cost-effective model on the small lake in Colignola, a floating and rotatable solar photovoltaic module. This floating facility that can track solar light is the first in the world. Talking about his own design, Marco Rosa-Clot, professor at the University of Florence, was very proud. He and his team are currently working on revolutionary photovoltaic power generation. Because buildings and ground power stations occupy valuable agricultural land, their floating petal-like photovoltaic projects have attracted the interest of many international buyers.

This small device can generate 30 KW of electricity and can be used by more than a dozen families. The standard is 3 KW per apartment. Calculated at 1,600 euros per kilowatt, the cost of this scale is approximately 48,000 euros (63,000 U.S. dollars), which is 20% cheaper than the ground system.
