Multi-functional plastic additive - rubber mold release agent

Plastic auxiliaries release agents are generally divided into external and internal types. The traditional plastic auxiliaries release agent is generally used for external use, that is, it is applied on the surface of the cavity. It is also known as a release agent. The products mainly include talc powder, mica powder, soap, paraffin, PTFE and silicone oil. Etc., they all have a certain release effect, but have the disadvantages of leaving mold scale and traces, corrosive to the mold, and expensive. The rubber internal release agent is generally mixed into the rubber in the form of an auxiliary agent and dispersed therein.
Partial migration to the surface during vulcanization forms a thin barrier layer. Therefore, it is not necessary to apply a mold release agent to the surface of the cavity. Moreover, the separator does not fall off, leaving mold deposits. This is advantageous for mold maintenance, and it also brings convenience to the molding operation. In addition, the internal release agent also contributes to the flow of the rubber compound and reduces the heat generation caused by intramolecular friction. It is a veritable multifunctional additive and is therefore referred to as an "internal lubricant" abroad. At present, the most widely used internal mold release agents are fatty acid salts, cationic surfactants, metal soap base mixtures, and low molecular weight polyethylenes. Among them, the fluororubber internal release agent T18 has a good use effect. It can effectively improve the flow of the rubber compound, increase the plasticity of the unvulcanized rubber compound, shorten the mixing time, save energy consumption and increase productivity. It is used in the production of fluororubber and acrylate products, and has excellent release effect.
