World's first solar-powered independent rotating skyscraper

According to the design, "Da Vinci" (also known as Dynamic Building) is 1,027 feet (about 313 meters) high, with a total of 68 floors located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. This building is expected to be a great pioneering work in architecture, for the following reasons.

First of all, each floor can rotate independently, which is unique in the world. This will make the entire building constantly change shape. Each floor rotates a maximum of 20 feet (about 6 meters) per minute, and 90 minutes will rotate once.

Secondly, Da Vinci will be the world's first prefabricated skyscraper, and 90% of the building will be completed in the same factory and shipped to the site. As a result, the entire building can be built in just 18 months. The only part of the building completed at the site will be the core structure. The advantage of this kind of prefabricated skyscraper is that it reduces the cost and construction personnel, and the total cost is 23% lower than that of a normal skyscraper of the same scale. Only 90 workers are busy at the construction site and the vast majority of workers will stay at the factory. Here, the safety of workers can be better protected.

Third, the electricity demand of the entire building will be provided by turbines and solar panels. Da Vinci is not only able to achieve energy self-sufficiency, but also has enough electricity to power enough electricity for the five buildings of the same size. The turbine is installed between two rotating floors and will generate 1.2 million watt-hours of energy as floors continue to move. Solar panels will be installed on the roof. According to plan, Da Vinci will be completed in 2009.
