Station put into closed trial operation. The start of closed sales and trial operations has promoted the establishment of China's B5 standard system for biodiesel. According to reports, after a period of trial operation, CNOOC New Energy will form a relevant assessment report and report it to the Provincial Department of Commerce. If the closed trial operation achieves the intended purpose, it will formally promote the use of biodiesel in our province.

CNOOC Hainan Biodiesel Demonstration Project is one of the three national-level biodiesel demonstration projects approved by the National Development and Reform Commission in 2008. It is the first industrial scale project completed and put into operation in China.

The Hainan Biodiesel Demonstration Project is the only facility in the world that uses a high-pressure ester interchange (SRCA) biodiesel production process. The SRCA biodiesel production process has the characteristics of strong raw material adaptability, no catalyst intervention, high reaction conversion rate and selectivity, and good product quality, and is the most “green” prospect production process at present.
