China's manufacturing PMI was 50.8% in May

According to the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing, the China Manufacturing Purchasing Managers Index (PMI) was 50.8% in May, up 0.2 percentage points from the previous month. Among the main sub-indices, the production index was 53.3%, up 0.7 percentage points from the previous month; the new order index was 51.8%, up 0.1 percentage points from the previous month; the purchase price index was 45.1%, up 5.0 percentage points from the previous month. Among the 21 manufacturing industries surveyed, 14 of them have a PMI of more than 50%, indicating that most industries are operating stably.
