Recently, the “3800mm plate and roller quenching machine equipment development and quenching process technology development†completed by Xinsteel Corporation and Northeastern University was awarded the first prize of the 2010 Metallurgical Industry Science and Technology Award.
The research and development project of high-quality quenched and tempered steel plate technology jointly developed by New Steel Group Co., Ltd. and Northeastern University has successfully developed various types of quenching and tempering products including wear-resistant steel, pressure vessel steel and high-strength Structural steel. After the steel plate and the quenched plate, the performance indexes have reached or surpassed domestic and foreign standards and internal control standards. The flatness of the plate is better than that of products imported from abroad by similar equipments, creating considerable economic benefits for the enterprise.
