OneBeat headset can charge the phone
On the morning of July 8th, Beijing time, a startup team from the UK is developing a headset called OneBeat, and hopes to use the solar panels on the headset to provide power for portable devices such as tablets and smart phones.
The OneBeat team has already begun financing through the crowdfunding website Kickstarter. They will embed a flexible solar panel in the headset, store the absorbed solar energy in the built-in lithium battery of the headset, and then charge the smartphone or tablet via the USB interface.
However, due to the small size of the solar panels and the fact that they have a certain degree of curvature, they cannot all face the sun at the same time. Therefore, it will take a long time for the mobile devices to be fully charged or unknown. OnBeat team said that this product's charging power is about 0.55 watts.
The OnBeat team said that the phone can keep another device running for the whole day, but it does not provide specific sample data. However, the headset seems to only allow the phone or tablet to continue working without fully filling it. If you want to ensure that the built-in battery maintains ample charge, you can also use the USB port to charge it.
The OneBeat team stated that they want to use the Kickstarter platform to find funding to meet the minimum order requirements of the manufacturing companies. Their financing target is 200,000 pounds (about 298,000 U.S. dollars). The official suggested retail price for this product was originally set at £119, but they have promised to reduce the starting price to £69. (books)
