Scientists develop ant size radio

Engineers at Stanford University have recently made breakthroughs to develop perhaps the smallest radio chip in the world.

The subminiature radio is only a few millimeters long. It's not much longer than a bigger ant. It's like a picture on a coin. If you don't pay attention, you think it's part of the coin. It is so small that it does not require a battery and electromagnetic waves are more than enough.

So what can be done with such a small radio chip? Scientists said that this technology may be the key to the networking of smart homes. By deploying such micro-chips in large quantities, smart home appliances can form networks with each other, making them absolutely energy-efficient.

It is understood that scientists have conducted network tests among 100 microchips and their performance is as stable as expected. The person in charge, Amin Arbabian, expects that they will be mass-produced in the future and become the core of people's home appliances.
