The results show that the spindle with the pre-tightened double-row tapered roller bearing has a smaller deformation than the spherical roller bearing, for two reasons:

1. Compared with the radial roller bearing, the double row tapered roller bearing has a pre-tightening of 0.500, which improves the rigidity of the system.

2. Double row tapered roller bearings improve the load distribution between the double row rollers and reduce the radial and axial deformation of each column.

Axial offset

The main shaft of a wind turbine has both a radial offset and an axial offset. In fact, the axial offset of the spindle is transmitted directly to the input shaft of the gearbox. Unless the radial clearance of the spherical roller bearing, the axial clearance control and the positioning of the planet gear are specially treated, the axial offset will adversely affect the planet carrier support bearing in the gearbox.

The axial offset of the spindle depends on the rigidity of the system and the internal clearance of the fixed end bearing. When a pre-tightened double row tapered roller bearing is used at the fixed end, the axial offset at the right end of the spindle is almost four times less than when using a spherical roller bearing. Reducing the axial offset reduces the risk of axially squeezing the input shaft of the gearbox, which is very important.

Bearing bearing area

In the case of a bearing arrangement with one end fixed and one end floating, the fixed end bearing (double row tapered roller bearing or spherical roller bearing) is subjected to both radial and axial forces, while the floating end bearing (cylindrical roller bearing or tune) Heart roller bearings) only withstand radial forces. Since the direction of the axial force is directed from the rotor end to the end of the gearbox, no matter whether it is a double row tapered roller bearing or a spherical roller bearing, only one row of rollers near one end of the gearbox is subjected to all axial forces.
