Fluorescent lamp history

Today's fluorescent lamps are increasingly using electronic ballasts. The electronic ballast for fluorescent lamps was first developed in the early 1980s by Philips, the Netherlands. Because it is more unique in electrical performance than traditional inductive ballasts. It is actually a high-frequency resonant inverter, which is small in size, light in weight, low in energy consumption, can still be started and operated under low voltage, and has no stroboscopic and noise. However, the operating frequency of the circuit is as high as 20 to 30 kHz, so there are serious radio frequency interference and electromagnetic radiation interference, which affects the normal operation of other electronic instruments, and is also likely to cause pollution to the power grid and cause harm to the human body. After actual use, its life (and the impact on lamp life) is not as good as inductive ballasts.
