Heat treatment technology of friction stir welding aluminum plate

According to recent reports from the United States' Advanced Materials & Processing Technology, the Texas Aerospace Center has developed a new heat treatment technology after the aluminum alloy plate 1050 has been friction stir-welded. This new technology can overcome some of the adverse effects of aluminum alloy plate after friction stir welding. . In general, it is believed that the aluminum alloy sheet 7075 can not be used for arc welding and high energy density welding process, but can be friction stir welding, but the workpiece shows low ductility after welding, low strength and low stress resistance rot cracking performance. The new heat treatment technology can soften the alloy and improve the welding process parameters before welding. After welding, it is cooled in the air. After friction stir welding, the plate is heated by the solution for 10 minutes, quenched and kept at room temperature for 96 hours, and then passed through 121°C. The aging treatment was carried out for 5 hours and later at a temperature of 163°C for 27 hours.
