In the sweltering summer heat, many residents in the scenic area have been hanging various types of shade cloths to shield themselves from the intense sun. These makeshift coverings resemble the flags of a thousand countries, drifting aimlessly in the wind. However, they are not uniform, aesthetically pleasing, and pose potential safety risks. To bring order to this chaotic situation and restore a neat, unified look, the management committee has taken action by sending standardized roller blind bamboo curtains directly to residents’ homes for installation. Let’s take a closer look at the installation process.
Some of the buildings in the area have long been in disrepair, with damaged eaves that made it difficult to properly install the bamboo curtains. The management committee decided to address these issues by repairing the structures first. After the repairs were completed, the installation of the curtains was carried out efficiently and effectively, bringing the scenic area back to a clean, well-organized appearance.
To begin the installation, the first step is to determine the width of the space where the curtain will be placed. For a section up to 1 meter wide, only three fixed points are needed. Start by measuring the width using a steel tape measure, then find the center point. Mark the center with a pen, as well as two additional marks 10 cm on either side of the pulley. Drill small holes at these marked points using a hand drill, with a hole size of approximately 3:2. Next, mark the wall according to the curtain’s width, ensuring there is about 20 cm of space above the curtain. Use a hammer drill to create holes of the same size as the curtain, with a diameter of 0:8. Insert plastic expansion tubes into the holes and secure them with 5 cm self-tapping screws. Both embedded and wall-mounted installations are acceptable, but accurate measurements are essential for a proper fit.
One simple method involves using a hook test. Nail two nails onto the window or door frame, and screw two hooks onto the solid wood beam at the top of the curtain. Then, simply hang the hooks over the nails to secure the curtain in place.
Another method is the inner frame installation technique. This approach does not require any hooks. Instead, the beam at the top of the curtain is placed directly onto the inner frame of the window or door. From the bottom of the beam, screw it into the fixed part of the frame, ensuring that the beam is tightly pressed against the top for a secure hold.
With these methods, the installation of bamboo curtains becomes straightforward and efficient, helping to maintain a clean and organized environment in the scenic area.
