UK develops hydrogen fuel-free pollution-free cars with a top speed of 80 km/h

Development of a fuel-free automobile for hydrogen fuel in the UK with a top speed of 80 km/h

According to foreign media reports, this is a hydrogen-fueled vehicle. It can travel 300 miles (482 kilometers) per gallon of fuel. It discharges water instead of smoke. This non-polluting two-seat car uses a hydrogen-powered electric drive engine. The top speed is 50 miles (80 km) and a tank of liquid hydrogen travels 240 miles (386 kilometers).

In 2012, 30 vehicles of this model will be field tested. If the test is successful, Riversimple, which develops the technology, hopes to mass-produce the car with an annual output of 5,000 vehicles. However, as part of the city's green transport plan, Riversimple will hire cars instead of sell them during the trial activities. People only have to pay 200 pounds per month, plus a fee of 15 pence per mile. So far, Riversimple has invested 3 million pounds to develop this technology and plans to increase investment by 20 million pounds to fully put into production. This two-city car accelerates to 30 miles (48 kilometers) per hour in 5.5 seconds. If the trial is successful, the company will consider building a factory in Leicester and employ 250 employees.
