Reporter: Will you talk about the importance of the automotive industry to your company and what are your company's main products in the automotive industry? What benefits have been brought to customers?

Zhou Ruihua: As a tool supplier, our products are widely used in most of the industrial production fields such as aerospace, auto parts, household appliance compressors, electronic communications, and semiconductors. However, customers in the automotive industry account for about 30%-40% of the automotive industry, and the automotive industry can be said to be a major part of the use of our products. In addition, the automotive industry has developed rapidly in recent years. Major domestic automobile groups are investing more. Many private enterprises have also joined the ranks of automobiles or their parts and components, major auto companies in the world and famous auto parts manufacturers. Almost all have come to China, no doubt this will set off an upsurge in the domestic auto market, and bring more opportunities to our tool suppliers, which means that the auto industry will bring an update to our survival and development. More space.

About our main products in the automotive industry, this has to be based on the processing of different automotive components, including milling cutters, drills, and forming non-standard tools. However, the customer's consistent praise is the drill. I want to explain briefly through a few examples.

Example 1: A number of mechanical product manufacturing groups such as automotive parts and industrial bearings in our province known as "the world's top bearing brand". They had previously used OSG imported tools. Due to the financial crisis, they began to consider trying domestic tools. Later, in the processing of a certain part, they used our company's D3.9*40*D14*86 cemented carbide internal cold twist drill, try it out, and feel no worse than abroad. The processing parameters provided by our company are: cutting speed vc=65m/min, feed rate fn=0.1mm/r, speed S=5000m/min; they process according to the parameters we provide, resulting in one-off processing of one knife More than 600 holes, estimated tool life of about 20 meters. The previous OSG only hit 580 holes, and our tool is no different from it.

Example 2: A bearing company that produces automobile wheel hubs in Zhejiang Province. The company and I have always had a good relationship of cooperation, can be described as real mutual benefit. Not long ago, based on the specificity of the workpiece materials they processed, we improved a cemented carbide twist drill, greatly improving their machining efficiency, which is roughly doubled compared to the previous efficiency. The twist drill specification is D14*50*100. The processing parameters we provide are: cutting speed vc=101m/min, feed rate fn=0.35mm/r, and speed S=24000m/min. Because they are processing S55C high hardness steel, we have improved the traditional four-faceted drill tip to a curved relief angle. Although the cutting facets of the four facets are light and easy to cut, the impact resistance of the high hardness steel materials is far less than that of the arc face relief angle. The arc relief angle form is better than the four facets in terms of strength and shock resistance. Before using a four-facet twist drill, 400 holes were machined and the tool life was about 25 meters. However, after being modified, another arc relief angle type was used. 1200 holes were machined and the tool life was 69 meters. This improved effect makes the Division more trust and confidence in our tools.

The above two brief examples are all feedback from the customer. If there are benefits to customers, I think, no doubt, is a high degree of cost-effective! In other words, the production efficiency of the customer's efficient cutting is greatly reduced, which greatly reduces the production cost.

Reporter: With the rapid development of the automotive industry, flexible car manufacturing came into being. What are the opportunities and challenges that this trend has brought to your company?

Zhou Ruihua: The so-called flexible production and manufacturing is nothing more than the traditional special plane or rigid automatic line; due to its inconvenience to replace the production of varieties and transformation costs are expensive, so now auto parts processing production lines have increasingly used flexible production lines, a large number of The processing center can produce parts of different specifications on one production line to meet the needs of different products. When the product is updated, it can be easily converted into a new production line by simply changing the machining program and related tools and fixtures. The adjustments and improvements, the addition and reduction of tools are also very convenient. Adapting to this requires the tool to adapt to this highly flexible production and rapidly changing production yields and product varieties. Undoubtedly, the large demand for machining center tools is the biggest opportunity for our tool suppliers. At the same time, high-performance cutting in flexible production and manufacturing has also achieved great development. A large amount of allowance is removed by one cutting, especially in large-remainder cutting in rough machining, cutting efficiency is improved, and cutting processes are reduced. The combination of semi-finishing and finishing in the machining process has led to more reforms in the requirements for cutting tools and cutting technology. Therefore, for the stability of the tool quality, there are strict requirements for the R&D, innovation and scientific application of the tool technology. This is also the challenge for us. Therefore, this is a double-edged sword. It is a challenge and an opportunity, especially for the private enterprise of cutting tools of this scale. Zhou Ruihua: At present, as a new service concept, tool management has been sought after by most auto manufacturers and tool companies. I think it should be explained from two points. First, the impact of tool management on the cutting production efficiency of the automotive industry; the automotive industry involves a lot of mechanical processing in the production process, especially metal cutting. The size, accuracy, and surface appearance of the workpiece are all related to the tool. The performance and quality of the tool directly affects whether or not the required qualified product can be processed smoothly, which affects the cycle time and production efficiency. Whether the tool can meet the requirements of high-speed cutting, how the tool life and the frequency of tool change will directly affect the starting rate of the production line. Whether the tool can be adjusted or repaired to the production line on time and quality assurance will directly affect production. Can it continue normally? Second, the impact of tool management on its manufacturing costs; tool and management costs account for an important part of the manufacturing cost of auto parts. The reduction of tooling costs has become a very important, urgent and difficult task for the company. Because the reduction of tool costs is closely related to the adoption of new processes, new technologies, and new materials, it is also closely linked to a series of tool management tasks such as tool procurement, logistics, adjustment, grinding, tool quality control, and tool optimization. Therefore, the impact of tooling costs on manufacturing costs in the automotive manufacturing industry is significant. Strict cost control is required. With high tool management levels, it is possible to perform good tooling cost control. In addition to the related optimization of processes and tools, reducing the indirect costs of tool procurement, tool management related costs, transportation costs, storage costs, and inventory interest can all control tooling costs.

Reporter: According to the characteristics of the Chinese auto industry market, how does your company view the role of tool grinding in the Chinese auto industry, and how does your company do it?

Zhou Ruihua: When it comes to the role of tool grinding in the automotive industry, I think this is inseparable from the above mentioned importance of tool management to the automotive industry, that is, to reduce tooling costs as much as possible while ensuring efficient production efficiency. , And the appropriate tool grinding is an effective way to reduce the cost of tool procurement. It is said that in the context of the external financial crisis in 2012, the orders for tool grinding received by our customers have risen significantly, and the proportion of tool wear has increased significantly. From this point, tool dressing has become an indispensable part of customer tool management. In response to this phenomenon, our company has also taken corresponding measures. For example, in the customer's side to set up a tool grinding recycling bin, allowing customers to put the need to repair the tool on the inside, and we regularly send people to send customers to recover. This not only facilitates the customer's handling of damaged tools, but also helps the customer to reduce and control the purchase costs of the tool.

Reporter: How do you view the development prospects of the Chinese cutting tool market and the customer's market demand? In this regard, what kind of planning will your company have in terms of product development, perfect service, etc.?

Zhou Ruihua: For the prospect of the development of the Chinese tool market, I think it can be said to be bright. As far as China's form of development is concerned, we all know that China is a big manufacturing country and will soon be trying to become a manufacturing power. In the fast-growing automotive market alone, the domestic tool market is a vast area. As mentioned above, not only is the growing domestic auto market, but more and more overseas automobile and related component manufacturing companies have also chosen to develop manufacturing in China. Undoubtedly, the demand for cutting tools from automotive customers will continue to rise and increase rapidly. Of course, the quality and requirements for cutting tools are also increasing. At present, the shortage of homemade knives is still that the cutter quality is still not stable enough, and some batch life is very good, almost as much as imported knives, but sometimes the life is extremely low, which is very difficult for the automotive industry to process. controlling. With the increasingly fierce competition in the automotive market, the cost of automobile production must continue to decline, which in turn requires that the cost of cutting tools must also decline. One of the reduction methods I think is to realize the localization of tool supply, which can reduce the production cost and shorten the delivery time.
