Degradable plastic and masterbatch production technology

This technology has been developed to address the global challenge of rising environmental pollution caused by plastic waste. After years of dedicated research, a new type of photodegradable plastic masterbatch, along with its corresponding photodegradable plastic and associated technology, has been successfully completed. The research covers the production techniques for various plastic products, including films, thick sheets, and foams. The technical achievements have passed the provincial evaluation in Gansu Province and have been submitted for Chinese invention patents. This technology is at an international leading level. Simulation experiments and field trials covering nearly 1,000 acres have demonstrated that agricultural mulch films or other plastic products made from this photodegradable material begin to degrade after about 70 days and break down completely within approximately 180 days. By adjusting the raw materials and their proportions, the degradation initiation time can be precisely controlled. These degradable plastics can also be used to produce a wide range of disposable products such as packaging bags, garbage bags, food packaging containers, and plastic foams. In existing plastic manufacturing processes, photodegradable plastic products can be produced by adding around 10% of the masterbatch created through this technique. This makes it easy to integrate into current production lines without major modifications. The key features of this product include the use of rare earth elements in the brake pad component and a multi-element rare earth treatment process for steel fibers. These innovations make the product unique compared to similar products currently available both domestically and internationally. It boasts high technological content, distinctive performance, a simple manufacturing process, low cost, significant economic benefits, and ease of promotion. The technical standards of this achievement have reached an international advanced level. Regarding fastener standards, mechanical performance requirements apply to hex head bolts, hex nuts, hexagon socket head cap screws, round head square neck bolts, and studs of grade 8.8 and above. For fastener products with a thread diameter of 5 mm or larger, manufacturer (or distributor) identification marks must be clearly indicated. This year, the National Fastener Standardization Technical Committee Secretariat re-registered and confirmed the identification marks of fastener manufacturers. The first batch of approved manufacturers has recently been announced. It's important to note that these identification marks are not trademarks but rather part of the standardization and quality assurance system. Fastener products requiring such markings must use a uniformly coordinated and confirmed symbol; otherwise, they will be considered non-compliant.
