The Year of the Dragon will go, and the Year of the Snake is here. On the occasion of the resignation of the old and new, I would like to express my sincere greetings to the employees and family members of the industry enterprises on behalf of the Superhard Materials Branch of the China Machine Tool Industry Association (hereinafter referred to as “Super Association”) and pay the highest respect to them! I sincerely thank all business leaders and colleagues for their concern and support for the work of Super Association in the past year!

In 2012, the world economy was sluggish, the Chinese economy entered a period of transformation and upgrading, and the development speed slowed down, which caused heavy development pressure on the super-hard materials industry that has developed rapidly for many years. However, the vast number of industry enterprises actively took measures to actively overcome difficulties and withstand the impact test caused by insufficient market demand, and achieved good results. It is estimated that the economic growth of the whole industry will reach about 15%, which is still much higher than the growth of China's GDP. It fully demonstrates the vitality of the super-hard materials industry as a strategic emerging industry! Shows the ability of the vast majority of colleagues to create miracles!

2012 is a year in which the national “Twelfth Five-Year Plan” is fully completed. In the "12th Five-Year Development Plan for New Materials Industry" issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, our industry has been explicitly included in the strategic emerging industries. The product catalogue that supports the development of development contains all the products of our industry, and the "machine tools" issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. In the “12th Five-Year Development Plan” of the tool industry, industry products are also included in key development areas. At present, some enterprises have enjoyed the glory of the policy first, and have received asset support from the state and local governments. This is the major achievement that the member units have actively supported in the past four years and the association has actively reported upwards. It has created a good policy environment for the development of the industry during the “Twelfth Five-Year Plan” period.

Looking ahead to the future, we are filled with confidence! In 2013, the new party and state leaders have formulated an ambitious plan to double the national economy and national per capita income by 2020 and fully build a well-off society. The development of industrial modernization and rural urbanization has great potential and will be super hard. The development of the material industry provides huge market space! We must seize the two favorable opportunities of policy and market, speed up product structure adjustment, transformation and upgrading, and make greater contributions to China's and even the world's economic development!
