In autumn, the orchard may have weeds that reduce soil permeability. After fruit picking, it's recommended to remove weeds and perform deep tilling to keep the soil loose and well-aerated. This improves water and nutrient absorption and promotes the growth of new root shoots.
Finally, after cleaning up fallen leaves from the vineyard, it's best to combine this with winter pruning. All debris should be removed and either destroyed or buried to minimize the risk of disease carryover.
