**Solar-Powered Innovation: A Student Team's Breakthrough in Renewable Energy**
A recent breakthrough in solar energy technology has caught the attention of many, thanks to a group of students from Baicheng Normal University. Their invention, called the "Solar Maximum Power Automatic Tracking System," is now protected by a national patent. The system is designed to follow the sun like a sunflower, maximizing energy absorption throughout the day.
Xu Lining, a sophomore student and one of the project leaders, shared her excitement about the development. “It’s like a sunflower that always follows the sun and does its best to absorb energy,†she said. After a year of hard work, the team managed to create a smart and efficient solar tracking system that can adjust in real time.
The motivation behind the project was to improve the efficiency of solar energy usage. While solar power is a clean and renewable resource, traditional systems often face challenges such as low energy density, intermittent performance, and difficulty in adapting to changing environmental conditions. Xu Lining and her team aimed to solve these issues with their innovative design.
“We wanted a system that could ‘chase the sun’ and also ‘hide’ when strong winds hit,†Xu explained. To achieve this, they integrated photoelectric tracking control with wind sensors. These sensors detect wind speed and direction in real time, allowing the system to automatically adjust and avoid damage during storms or high winds.
In May, after 12 months of research and testing, the team successfully completed the automatic solar tracking system. “After sunset, the panels return to the east to prepare for the next day,†Xu added. They also included a wireless surveillance camera, enabling remote monitoring of the system’s performance and ensuring its stability and reliability.
This innovation not only improves the efficiency of solar energy collection but also enhances the durability of the equipment in harsh weather conditions. With a national utility model patent secured, the team is now working on bringing their product to market. They hope it will contribute significantly to the field of green energy and promote sustainable development.

Normally Open Air Valve
Normally open air valves are a type of Solenoid Valve that is designed to remain open in its default state, allowing air or gas to flow through the valve at all times. These mini air valves are commonly used in a variety of applications where a constant flow of air or gas is required, such as in pneumatic systems and gas pipelines.
The primary function of a normally open air valve is to provide a continuous flow of air or gas through a system, which can help to maintain consistent pressure levels and prevent the buildup of excess pressure or vacuum. These valves are typically operated by a solenoid or other type of electrical control, which can be used to open or close the valve as needed.
There are several different types of normally open air valves available, each of which is designed to meet specific application requirements. Overall, normally open air valves are an essential component in many industrial and commercial systems, providing a reliable and efficient means of controlling the flow of air or gas through a system.
