Henan largest distributed photovoltaic review

Abstract Recently, the access system plan for the 20 MW photovoltaic power generation demonstration project in Xuchang New District has been officially reviewed and approved by Xuchang Power Supply Company. This project, known as the Golden Sun Photovoltaic Power Generation Demonstration Project, is the largest distributed photovoltaic initiative in Henan Province, with a total installed capacity of 20 MW. Located primarily within Xuchang New District and the Economic and Technological Development Zone, the project has made significant progress, with most of the rooftop photovoltaic panels already installed and construction nearly complete. The project marks an important step forward in promoting clean energy and sustainable development in the region. Xuchang Power Supply Company has played a crucial role in supporting the integration of photovoltaic power into the grid. To streamline the process, the company has introduced the "Regulations on the Management of Grid-connected Work of Distributed Photovoltaic Power Generation." These regulations aim to simplify procedures, optimize connection processes, and improve service efficiency, effectively creating a green channel for distributed solar projects. Under these guidelines, Xuchang Power Supply Company connects distributed photovoltaic systems to the low-voltage distribution network and purchases surplus power at full rate in accordance with national policies. The company also provides comprehensive support to project owners, including access system planning, grid connection testing, and commissioning, without charging any network fees or system backup charges. With the successful approval of the access system solution, the Golden Sun project has entered a new phase of practical operation. Once fully operational, the project will supply electricity to nine local enterprises annually, generating approximately 26 million kWh of clean energy per year. This not only reduces carbon emissions but also helps meet the growing demand for renewable energy in the region, setting a positive example for future green initiatives.
