- Minor surface flaws that do not exceed the allowed deviation can be left untreated.
- Straightness is allowed up to certain limits. For hot-rolled or hot-extruded pipes with a diameter ≤140 mm, the depth should not exceed 5% of the nominal wall thickness, with a maximum of 0.5 mm. For cold-drawn pipes, the depth should not exceed 4% of the wall thickness, with a maximum of 0.3 mm.
- Both ends of the pipe must be cut straight, and any burrs should be removed to ensure smooth installation and use.
