Xia Wei planting points

Xia Wei Planting Guide:

The best time to sow Xia Wei is in spring, though it can also be sown in autumn in southern China. The ideal germination temperature ranges between 20°C and 30°C, and sprouts usually appear within 10 to 15 days after sowing. Since the seeds are very fine, it's recommended to mix them with a small amount of fine sand for easier handling. Keep the soil moist during sowing, and cover it lightly with soil. It’s also a good idea to cover the container with a plastic film to maintain humidity. After sowing, water by soaking the container rather than directly watering the surface. Once the seedlings emerge, remove the film and place them in a well-ventilated area. When the plants have developed about five true leaves or reached a height of 10 cm, they are ready for transplanting.

For optimal growth, Xia Wei requires plenty of sunlight. To keep the foliage vibrant and healthy, prepare the soil with organic compost as a base fertilizer before planting. During the growing season, apply two to three rounds of either chemical or organic fertilizer to ensure the soil remains nutrient-rich. Regular feeding helps maintain strong growth and enhances the plant’s color and overall appearance. Make sure to water consistently but avoid overwatering, as this can lead to root rot. With proper care, Xia Wei can thrive and add a beautiful touch to your garden or indoor space.
