Xia Wei planting points

Xia Wei Planting Guide:

Xia Wei is typically sown in spring, though in southern China, autumn sowing can also be suitable. The ideal germination temperature ranges between 20 to 30°C, and seeds usually sprout within 10 to 15 days after planting. Due to the small size of the seeds, it's recommended to mix them with fine sand for even distribution. When sowing, make sure the soil is moist, and cover it lightly. A plastic film can be used to maintain moisture, and watering should be done through soaking rather than direct spraying.

Once the seedlings reach about 10 cm in height or have developed five true leaves, they are ready for transplanting. It’s important to remove the plastic cover once the plants emerge to prevent overheating and ensure proper air circulation. Place the seedlings in a well-lit area to promote healthy growth.

For optimal growth, Xia Wei requires full sunlight. Before planting, enrich the soil with organic fertilizer as a base. During the growing season, apply chemical or organic fertilizers two to three times to maintain soil fertility and vibrant color. Regular watering and proper care will help your Xia Wei thrive and look its best throughout the season.

Remember to keep the area free from weeds and monitor for any signs of pests or disease. With the right conditions and care, Xia Wei can grow into a beautiful and healthy plant that adds color and life to your garden.
