Seven technical requirements for indoor installation of surveillance cameras

In the installation room for surveillance cameras, proper wiring is not only essential for safety and reliability but also needs to ensure a neat, organized, and securely installed layout. The following technical requirements must be strictly followed: 1. The rated voltage of the camera cable should exceed the working voltage of the circuit. The insulation material must be suitable for the installation method and environmental conditions. Additionally, the cross-sectional area of the conductor must meet both power supply and mechanical strength requirements. 2. When wiring surveillance cameras, it's best to avoid using wire connectors if possible. If connections are necessary, they must be crimped or soldered, and no mechanical stress should be applied to the joints. Any unused wires inside the conduit must not have any connectors. If required, connectors should be placed on the terminal block inside a junction box. 3. In-building surveillance camera wiring should be kept horizontal or vertical. All cables should be protected by conduits (either plastic or metal, depending on the specific indoor piping standards). For ceiling installations, metal conduit can be used, but it must be firmly fixed and neatly arranged. 4. Surveillance signal cables must not be run parallel to high-power electrical lines or placed in the same conduit. If space constraints require proximity, they should maintain a minimum distance of at least 50 cm from power lines when running parallel. 5. The AC power supply for the surveillance alarm control panel should be routed separately. Cameras must not share the same conduit with signal lines or low-voltage DC cables. The installation of AC power cables must follow standard electrical codes and regulations. 6. Wiring from the surveillance camera alarm control panel to the ceiling should be properly jacketed and either embedded in the wall or protected by metal pipes. This helps enhance the overall security performance of the anti-theft system. 7. There are two main types of surveillance camera wiring: visible (light) and concealed (dark). Visible wiring should be straight, neat, and well-organized. Concealed wiring should use short, smooth conduits with minimal bends to ensure easy installation and maintenance. By following these guidelines, you can ensure that the surveillance system is both functional and aesthetically pleasing, while also meeting all necessary safety and technical standards. Proper planning and attention to detail during the wiring phase are crucial for long-term performance and reliability.

Brass Nut

Brass fasteners are used for their physical and aesthetic properties. Brass is utilized due to its high thermal conductivity and corrosion resistant properties, it is suitable for use in hot and cold environments, and resistant to water corrosion, making it a staple of industries such as heating and plumbing. Brass fasteners are largely non-magnetic (like any fastener, slight magnetic properties can develop during the manufacturing process) and resistant to tarnishing.

Brass fasteners are suited for some marine environments, including brackish water and slow current sea water; brass in this environment develops a protective green coating. Brass fasteners are also commonly used with wood applications, as the golden coloring blends well with the tan wood. Brass is a softer metal and must be used with care, always drilling pilot holes and using driver bits that fit the head of the screw precisely to prevent stripping. Brass Bolts also require a pilot hole be driven before installtion.
