Hard hat requirements and design standards:
1. The top of the helmet must be reinforced to ensure structural integrity. It can be constructed with a light-weight top or a ribbed design. The shell should have smooth edges, or it may include curled edges for added safety and comfort.
2. The plastic cap lining should feature a rear hoop that allows for adjustable sizing. This adjustment can be done using various methods such as pull-tabs, button adjustments, or dial mechanisms, ensuring a secure and personalized fit for different head sizes.
3. For helmets without a rear hoop in the lining, the chin strap should be designed in a "Y" shape. This type of design is suitable when a single root is used, offering stability while maintaining flexibility.
4. The forehead band should be made from breathable and moisture-absorbent materials to enhance comfort during prolonged use, especially in hot environments.
5. The gasket around the cap's rim can be designed in strips or blocks, and it should allow for proper air circulation to prevent overheating and improve overall wearability.
6. All hard hat manufacturers are required to strictly adhere to national standards, such as GB2811-2007, to ensure product quality, durability, and user safety.
7. Y-type helmets are not recommended for lateral impact protection. These helmets are specifically designed to protect against vertical impacts, such as falling objects from above, but they do not provide adequate protection against side pressure or impacts.
